hello...
I'm Lisa, a Psychotherapist in Advanced Training and I can help you create meaningful change, one conversation at a time.
Most people spend their lives responding to the demands of work, relationships, family, and daily responsibilities. Very few have a dedicated space to stop and consider what they actually think, feel, or need.
Therapy provides that space.
I provide individual sessions in person for clients in Herefordshire, as well as online for those living further afield or who find remote sessions a more flexible option.

about me
People often come to therapy because something no longer feels sustainable. They may be struggling with anxiety, relationship difficulties, low mood, or simply feel disconnected from themselves and the life they're living.
My role is to help you understand yourself more clearly, make sense of your experiences, and find new ways of responding to life's challenges.
I place particular importance on the relationship we build together, as I believe being genuinely understood by another person can create the conditions for lasting change.
I offer a space away from the noise and demands of everyday life where we can think together about what's happening, what's getting in the way, and how to move forwards.
my background
I am trained in Counselling and Transactional Analysis (TA) Psychotherapy and hold a Level 7 Postgraduate Diploma. I am accredited by the National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society and am also a Trainee Psychotherapist with the UK Council for Psychotherapy.
TA offers a practical way of understanding how our early experiences can shape how we think, feel, and relate to others today. I value its clear, relational approach and its focus on helping people develop greater awareness, choice, and understanding.
Before training as a psychotherapist, I spent more than 25 years working in people-centred corporate roles. This experience gave me first-hand insight into the pressures, transitions, and complexities many people face in both their professional and personal lives.

understanding what matters...
you
The way you think, feel, respond, and make sense of yourself. In a calm and confidential space, we will develop a deeper understanding of the patterns, beliefs, and experiences that have shaped who you are, while building a more accepting and compassionate relationship with yourself.
your
relationships
The relationships that matter to you - past and present. This includes your relationship with yourself, as well as partners, family, friends, colleagues, and the wider world around you. Together, we will explore how these relationships influence your sense of self and the ways you connect with others.
your
experiences
The experiences that have shaped your life, both expected and unexpected. Some may have helped you grow, while others may still feel difficult to understand or carry. We will make sense of these experiences, understand their impact, and create space for change, growth, and new possibilities.
lets get started...
We begin with a free 20-minute telephone consultation. This gives us an opportunity to talk about what brings you to therapy, discuss what you're looking for, answer any questions you may have, and consider whether working together feels right for you.
In our first session, we will explore what is happening in your life at the moment and begin to develop an understanding of how I can best support you. We will also discuss your hopes for therapy and whether a shorter or longer-term approach may be most appropriate.
From there, we will regularly review our work, ensuring therapy remains focused on what feels most important and helpful to you.
